The last I heard, the old Macaroni Grill (it was built in 2002 specifically as a Macaroni Grill) location is going to be some kind of medical location, which would fit in nicely with the orthopedic center next door, the pharmacies nearby, and Wesley Long as well.įriendly Center is known for having high rent for retail, so we’re not going to see huge retail growth for a while. They may not have any need to develop much there for a while, as I’m sure the Whole Foods lease makes up for any shortfalls. I’m sure this Sears will operate as sort of a liquidation outlet for some time eventually, similar to what the old Dillards did at Oak Hollow.

Sears owns the whole building (and I’m guessing the whole parking lot and where the old auto center is) - part of which is leased by Whole Foods. I’m also curious about what will eventually replace the Sears.
